It’s time to bring on the crayons, colored pencils, or whatever else you can find to add a splash of color to this year’s Color of Kenosha coloring book.

Talk to your favorite place to see if they have anymore copies of the coloring book or print up free copies of the pages at www.ColorOfKenosha.com. Just click into any of the past books to find free, printable coloring pages.

Submission Categories:
Since these books are for all ages, let’s make categories for everyone. And for the adult entries, we’ll break it up by what you use to color your page. Here are the groups from which we’ll choose our winners:

  • 5 years old and under
  • 6 to 8
  • 9 to 12
  • 13 to 17
  • 18+ – Colored Pencil
  • 18+ – Crayon
  • 18+ – Marker
  • 18+ – Other/Mixed Media
  • 65+ – This one is a super cool double bonus option so participants 65+ would be eligible to win both in one of the 18+ subcategories or the general 65+ category.
  • Plus one randomly selected Lucky Duck winner which anyone could win

Prizes:
Want to win the best prizes? Better invite your friends!
The monthly prizes will get better based on how many participants among all categories enter the contest. Can we unlock over $500 worth of rewards???

1 to 19 entries – Button Pack
20 to 49 entries – Mystery Stickers
50 to 149 entries – Crayons, Colored Pencils, and a Studio Moonfall coloring book (your choice!)
150 or more entries – $25 Studio Moonfall Gift Card!!!

For these prizes, they stack as we get more participants. So, if we get 150 entries, one person from each of the age groups/categories will recieve all the goodies – A Button pack, Mystery Sticker pack, Crayons, Colored Pencils, a Coloring Book, plus a $25 Studio Gift Card. Ten winners for all this stuff!

Submissions:
Each participant only gets one entry but if you color one and submit it, then color another page that you think is waaaaay better, we can replace your first entry.

To submit yours, drop off your coloring page entry at Studio Moonfall – 5031 7th Ave. Kenosha, WI. You can find up to date store hours at https://studiomoonfall.com/calendar/ and for Mystery Hours, check the Facebook page!

If you stop by while the shop is closed, you can slide your entry into the mail slot on the door.

Let’s see your masterpiece and slap it on a 2.25″ button! Print up your own sheet to draw at home or stop by Studio Moonfall and borrow some crayons. Once you have your art, give me $5 to feed the interns because they are very hard-working, and I’ll make up your one-of-a-kind button!

Meet the Author – Ron Purtee

Mark your calendars for an exclusive author meet-and-greet on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Studio Moonfall! Between 11am and 2pm, you’ll have the chance to meet the talented short story author, Ron Purtee.

Purtee’s literary journey is as compelling as his stories. As a self-professed horror fanatic from the tender age of seven, after accidentally seeing the Texas Chainsaw Massacre at his father’s place, Ron cultivated an appreciation for all things spooky and macabre. However, his artistic journey truly took off when he produced his first film, ‘Becoming Undead,’ shortly after his 32nd birthday. This unleashed an unstoppable creative streak in Ron, and he spent the following decade making films. Now, he’s transferred his visual storytelling prowess onto the written page.

At the event, you’ll get a glimpse into Purtee’s book, ‘The Never Ending Road.’ In this collection of gripping scripts and stories, he promises to deliver a thrilling roller coaster ride, leaving you on the edge of your seat with anticipation.

Kenosha Book Festival 2023 – Chapter Four
